Executive Producer
Jana Ruark joined WBOC as a News Producer in July 2021 and became Executive Producer in 2025. She graduated from the University of Delaware with a degree in Media Communication and a minor in Journalism. She has produced our entirely local 6 p.m. newscast and has won several first-place awards from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
NASA Wallops Flight Facility
WALLOPS ISLAND, VA - Precision sounding rockets are scheduled to lift off from NASA's Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia.
Officials say the launch window is from May 11-18.
They say the launch will not be livestreamed, and updates will not be given during the countdown.
The rocket launch may be seen from the Chesapeake Bay region, according to NASA.
