MARYLAND - Tax free shopping week is officially underway in Maryland.
The week long savings event is designed to help parents save a little on back to school shopping.
The tax free savings extend to all shoppers.
Clothing, footwear and accessories costing less than 100 dollars are eligible.
The first 40 dollars of backpack purchases are also tax free.
Tax free week runs from August 13 through August 19 in Maryland.
