SMYRNA, Del. - State police arrested three suspects on felony drug and weapon charges Thursday morning.
Delaware State Police say they arrested Demetric Isabell, 19, of Smyrna, Lamont Isabell, 22, of Lincoln, and Tashiayanna Dillmore, 24, of Wilmington.
Troopers say on Oct. 12, around 11 a.m., members of the Delaware Probation and Parole along with the Delaware State Police Kent County Governor’s Task Force, conducted a probation check at the home of Demetric Isabell on the 400 block of Monrovia Avenue in Smyrna.
During the check, authorities say members of Probation and Parole found one .45 caliber bullet along with drug paraphernalia. Demetric Isabell, who is prohibited from possessing a firearm or ammunition, was reportedly taken into custody without incident.
State police say Lamont Isabell, Tashiayanna Dillmore, and young children were present during the probation check. Authorities say Lamont Isabell was taken into custody without incident after a computer check showed that he had an active capias, issued by the Kent County Court of Common Pleas. Trooper say approximately 110 white wax heroin bags were located inside Lamont Isabell’s jacket pocket.
Authorities say at the same time, Tashiayanna Dillmore attempted to walk away from the home with the two children. Troopers say they contacted and discovered Tashiayanna Dillmore was concealing a black Glock 21 .45 caliber handgun in her waistband. A computer check showed Tashiayanna Dillmore did not have a valid permit to carry a concealed deadly weapon. Troopers say Demetric Isabell asked Tashiayanna Dillmore to conceal the handgun on her person when the police were approaching the home.
All three suspects were taken to Troop 3 and charged with the following crimes:
