LAUREL, DE - The Delaware State Police have arrested two people in Laurel following a months-long drug investigation.

Police say a search was conducted at a home on Trussum Pond Road in Laurel on Tuesday, September 19th, just after 6 a.m. following a four-month investigation. The subject of that investigation, Alonzo Roberts, 50, was suspected of large-scale narcotics distribution, according to police.

The search reportedly uncovered the following:

-Over 14 grams of crack cocaine

-Over 20 grams of cocaine

-Approximately 30 bags containing just over 0.20 grams of heroin

-Approximately $2,525 in suspected drug dealing proceeds

-21 Suboxone strips

-35 unknown pills

-Numerous rounds of ammunition

-Various paraphernalia including digital scales and distribution materials

Five people were inside the home during the search, including Roberts and Heather Andrews, 37. Roberts and Andrews were arrested and charged as follows.

Roberts:

-Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited (Felony) – 2 counts

-Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (Felony) – 3 counts

-Possession of a Controlled Substance Tier 2 Quantity (Felony) – 2 counts

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – 3 counts

Andrews:

-Possession of a Controlled Substance without a Prescription

-Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Roberts was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $62,600 cash bond. Andrews was arraigned for the charges as well as probation violations. She was released on the charges stemming from this incident, but taken to Sussex Violation of Probation Center for the alleged probation breaches.
