SALISBURY, Md.- A Salisbury man has officially been indicted on 1st degree murder and various other charges in connection with the July 5th shooting in Salisbury that left one teen dead and several others injured.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, Kairee Vanlandingman, 22, was indicted by a Wicomico Grand Jury on September 11th on 59 counts including 1st degree murder in the fatal shooting on Chippewa Boulevard in July.

Today, September 19th, the Sheriff's Office says the indictment was served to Vanlandingham.

Vanlandingham was arrested on various lesser charges in connection to the shooting in August, when the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office along with Salisbury Police served a search and seizure warrant in the 400 block of Bailey Lane in Salisbury.

Police say Vanlandingham was initially arrested on firearm related charges. Officials say evidence was also collected during the search linking Vanlandingham to the shooting. He also allegedly admitted to discharging a firearm during the incident.

Vanlandingham is a convicted felon, therefore prohibited from possessing firearms, according to police.

On July 5, police say several people were shot at a block party on Chippewa Blvd. in the area of Kiowa Ave. just after midnight. 

Police say a 14-year-old boy, identified by later as X'Zavier Cordei Maddox, from Salisbury, died from a gunshot wound to the head.

Vanlandingham remains held without bond, according to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office.
