POCOMOKE, MD - Pocomoke City held their municipal election Tuesday with two contested council seats up for grabs.

Neighbors in Pocomoke chose who would be entrusted with the District 4 and District 5 Council seats on April 2nd. 

According to City results, Brooke Cottman emerged victorious against Nola Tullar in the contest for Pocomoke's vacant District 4 seat. 

"Brooke’s leadership promises positive change and progress for our district," the City said in a statement. "Let us rally behind her as she steps into this crucial role."

In the race for District 5, incumbent C. Esther Troast lost her bid for reelection against CL Marshall.

Marshall's "passion for public service, deep understanding of local issues, and ability to bridge divides have earned him the trust of our constituents," an election announcement from the city reads. 

The election was held at the Pocomoke City Library on Market Street from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m..
