MILTON, Del. - State police say 47-year old Terrance Perry, of Bridgeville, died Friday after a truck crashed into a tree.

Troopers say on Dec. 15 around 1:35 p.m., a Ford-450 was traveling eastbound on Milton-Ellendale Highway, just west of Gravel Hill Road. Authorities say for unknown reasons, the truck veered off the right side of the road and crashed into a large tree.

Ellendale Fire Company and the Milton Fire Department responded to find the occupants entrapped and seriously injured.

Perry, the front passenger, was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.

Delaware State Police say the driver, a 57-year-old man from Lincoln, and the rear passenger, a 60-year-old man from Milford, were also transported to a nearby hospital, where they are being treated for serious injuries.

Milton-Ellendale Highway remained closed for approximately 3 hours as investigators examined the scene and cleared the roadway.

The Delaware State Police Troop 7 Collision Reconstruction Unit continues to investigate this incident. Troopers are asking anyone who witnessed this crash to contact Senior Corporal J. Smith by calling (302) 703-3267. Information may also be provided by sending a private Facebook message to the Delaware State Police or contacting Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1 (800) 847-3333.
