RHODESDALE, MD - The Maryland State Police are investigating a fatal crash that left two people dead Wednesday morning in Dorchester County.

Police say they responded to the area of Eldorado Road and Dog Kennel Road in Rhodesdale on reports of a two-vehicle crash just after 1 a.m. on November 29th. There, police say they found a tractor-trailer had been traveling northbound on Eldorado Road when a Chevrolet crossed the center line for unknown reasons and collided with the tractor-trailer head-on.

The driver and occupant of the Chevrolet died at the scene. They have been identified as Johnnie and Michelle Wright, of Rhodesdale, both 47.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was reportedly uninjured.

Maryland State Police say Eldorado Road was closed for more than 4 hours Wednesday morning. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
