DELMAR, Del.– The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office is investigating what led to a fatal crash the evening of Sept. 16.

Deputies say one passenger was killed after being ejected in a rollover crash near Norris Twilley Road and Norfolk Drive around 5:14 p.m. The driver and another passenger were reportedly treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries.

The victims' identities are being withheld at this time, with the Sheriff's Office extending condolences to all those impacted.

The roadway was closed for an extended period of time as first responders cleared the scene.

Investigators say preliminary information suggests impairment may have been a factor in the crash, as the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office Collision Reconstruction Unit continues analyzing evidence.
