SELBYVILLE, DE - Delaware State Police are investigating a crash in Selbyville that claimed the life of a Maryland woman Wednesday night.

According to authorities, a Hyundai Sonata was driving west on Cypress Road towards a curve near Daisey Road on March 26, just before 9 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, police say the car failed to take the curve and drove off the road. The right rear of the car then struck a tree before the vehicle crashed into a second tree.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 27-year-old from Bishopville, MD, was flown to a nearby hospital where she later died, police say.

Delaware State Police continue to investigate this fatal crash and ask any witnesses to contact them at 302-703-3267.
