Woodland Ferry
SEAFORD, DE - DELDOT says the Woodland Ferry will be closed through Sept. 16.
Officials say the delay in reopening is due to a longer than expect wait time for engine parts. The work is part of the 5-year mandatory maintenance inspection as required by the U.S. Coast Guard.
DELDOT also says the department is moving forward with designs for a new captain’s house to replace the existing building, and continues to seek new ferry captains.
