Authorities say a vehicle fire led to the discovery of a dead man.

First responders from the Georgetown Fire Company responded to two brush fires in less than 24 hours; one on Sunday evening and one on Monday morning. With dry conditions continuing across the peninsula, fire officials told WBOC it's essential that communities continue following the enacted burn ban. 

The Dover Fire Department responded to the 600 block of Nimitz Road around 8 p.m. on June 29 to find approximately half an acre of a field burning.
