The Brandywine Valley SPCA held a Mega Adoption event at all their locations this past weekend, to help shelter pets find their forever homes. At the Georgetown and Dover locations, over 140 pets were adopted.

A recent surge of animals is pushing the Brandywine Valley SPCA's Dover campus beyond capacity, following its highest monthly intake of the year in May.
35 dogs are now in the care of the Brandywine Valley SPCA after being rescued from an untended home in Lewes on Tuesday.
