Police are investigating a series of graffiti vandalism incidents reported across the town of Berlin.

As graffiti becomes a growing issue across Smyrna, town leaders have moved forward a proposed ordinance that would require private property owners to cover the costs of graffiti remediation on their buildings. While officials say the measure is needed to protect the town’s image and property values, some small business owners worry about the financial impact.

The Easton Police Department announced they charged an Easton woman with four counts of malicious destruction of property and four counts of use of hate symbol, among other charges, on Sept. 5.

Officials are reacting after a suspect was arrested for allegedly writing "KKK" throughout the city.

The Gumboro Community Center says they were the targets of vandalism last week with their building and outbuilding both defaced with spray paint.

Ocean City Police have identified a juvenile suspect in a series of graffiti taggings in the midtown area.
