WEDNESDAY...

* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as zero expected.

* WHERE...Portions of southeast Maryland and central, east central,
eastern, and north central Virginia.

* WHEN...Until 10 AM EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as zero could result in
hypothermia if precautions are not taken.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...In addition to the cold, black ice will
likely develop on area roadways tonight into Wednesday morning.
Use caution while traveling, especially on untreated secondary
roads, bridges, and overpasses.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.

* WHAT...Southwest to west winds 10 to 20 kt with gusts up to 30
kt.

* WHERE...Chesapeake Bay from Sandy Point MD to Smith Point VA,
Tidal Potomac from Cobb Island MD to Smith Point VA, Eastern
Bay, Choptank River to Cambridge MD and the Little Choptank
River, and Tangier Sound and the inland waters surrounding
Bloodsworth Island.

* WHEN...Until noon EST Wednesday.

* IMPACTS...Conditions will be hazardous to small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should avoid navigating in hazardous conditions.
