The wind shift that has occurred overnight is helping keep temperatures on the warmer side this morning as most of us are waking up in the 50s and 60s. A far different day ahead of us at the beach this afternoon with the wind off the Atlantic will keep highs in the 50s and 60s there…coming off highs in the 80s yesterday. Inland temperatures should reach the 70s and some low 80s possible on the Mid-shore this afternoon with a mix of sun and clouds. A warm front comes north as a warm front tonight with the chance of a few spotty showers or a thunderstorm.
As the wind turns out of the south and southwest into tomorrow, this will push our temperatures back into the 80s ahead of a cold front that brings the chance of a few showers and storms into the Friday evening. The front now looks to lag behind and keep chances for afternoon and evening showers and thunderstorms for Saturday.
A shift in the forecast for next week as there is more support for a low pressure cutting off right over the top of Delmarva and will keep us unsettled with rain chances for a few days with the wind in off the Atlantic. This will lock our temperatures in the 50s and 60s through Wednesday with on and off rain chances and if one of the models is right…we won’t have to worry about a drought for a while on Delmarva.
