The upper-level low has parked itself over parts of the Ohio River valley this morning, but it is beginning to slide a little more north overnight and into this morning. This movement north will allow for some dry air from the west to arrive as the wind turns more south to southwest throughout the day and leads to a partly to mostly sunny afternoon. With the sunshine, we should see highs climb up into the 70s and 80s this afternoon. With the sunshine will come a destabilization of the atmosphere and a chance of a few spotty showers and storms later today. It is not a GUARANTEE that you will have a shower or storm at your house today, but know that a chance will be there.

The upper-level low completely breaks down on Wednesday and will pass over the top of the area with some lingering clouds or a couple showers are possible to start the day before things will improve into the afternoon with a partly to mostly sunny day. Temperatures on Wednesday were still expected into the 70s and 80s with the wind from the west. Thursday will bring another cold front and the chance of a few late afternoon and evening showers and storms on a very warm day with highs into the 70s and 80s again. The front will stall once again over the top of the area and keep us gray with on and off rain for much of the day on Friday before things break down Friday night into early on Saturday.

The weekend forecast looks amazing for the mom’s at the moment with sunshine both on Saturday and Sunday with comfortable temperatures in the 60s and 70s on Saturday and 70s on Sunday. Another chance of rain looks to enter the forecast for Tuesday / Wednesday timeframe next week with another area of low pressure forming and hanging out over the top of the region.
