The leftovers of Ophelia will go out to sea as we move into tonight and through early next week. There are indications that the low in association with the remnants could strengthen a bit as it reaches the ocean and the pressure difference between the low and the high to our north could develop a few stray showers and drizzle continue into Monday and Tuesday. Along with the shower chance, the wind will slowly begin to pick up on Monday and Tuesday and with the wind coming in off the Atlantic will keep temperatures in the 60s and low 70s.

Things will slowly improve through the workweek as the remnants of Ophelia slowly meanders away from the coast. We should see partly cloudy conditions from Wednesday through Friday with a breeze that will keep temperatures in check for most of the week. Highs in the 60s and low 70s and morning temperatures in the upper 50s and low 60s. There are some questions on how this blocking pattern we are stuck in will affect how Ophelia moves later this weekend and into the weekend.

At the moment, I have us dry heading into Saturday and Sunday. The breeze will still be around and probably stronger near the beach with temperatures in the 70s inland over the weekend and 60s at the beach towns. With a lot of uncertainty about how the pattern will move with time, forecasting early next week is a little questionable at the moment so we will keep things on the breezy side into early next week with partly cloudy conditions.
