SYNOPSIS: We have a chilly night on the way as a dry and cool air mass settles over the region. Another rain event looks likely Friday night, as a strong low pressure moves from the Gulf Coast to the Great Lakes. This storm does not looks as strong as the storm last night. We will see winds gusting to over 40 mph Friday night as the low passes to our west. Much colder air will arrive by Sunday as a much colder pattern develops.

Tonight: Clearing and colder. Low 31°. Wind: W 5-12 mph.
Thursday: Mainly sunny, windy, and cool. High 49-50°. Wind: SW 12-32 mph.
Thursday Night: Clear and cold. Low 31°. Wind: W 2-7 mph.
Friday: Mainly sunny early then clouds increasing, milder and breezy. Windy late with rain likely. High 57°. Wind: SE 11-24 mph. Winds increasing to S 16-38 mph late with higher gusts.
Forecast Discussion:
Tonight looks clear and chilly with winds diminishing as a weak high pressure system builds over the area. Look for low temps. by daybreak around 31-32 degrees.
Thursday will be dry and mainly sunny with temps. reaching 50-52 degrees. Winds will be from the SW at 12-20 mph in the afternoon hours. Temps. will be near freezing by Friday morning.
Friday will be dry and chilly early but clouds will increase during the day as another strong low pressure system moves from the Gulf Coast toward the Great Lakes. This system will bring rain and wind to all of Delmarva Friday night. Winds may gust to over 40 mph after dark Friday.
In the long range: Rain will return Friday night into Saturday morning and over .4 inches is possible. Colder air will arrive Saturday afternoon but temps. May reach the mid 50's in the morning. Sunday looks cold and breezy with lows near 30 and high temps. near 42°.
Colder weather still will arrive by Tuesday and we may see some snow showers Monday night into Tuesday. Look for afternoon temps. only in the 30's Tuesday and Wednesday.
