WILMINGTON, Del. (AP)- Two jockeys at Delaware Park Race Track are in stable condition after they were thrown from their horses during a race.

New Castle County paramedic Cpl. Abigail E. Haas says emergency responders were called to the Wilmington track Wednesday afternoon to treat the jockeys.

Paramedics say one jockey, 19-year-old Christian Navarro, was treated for possible upper and lower extremity injuries and transported to a hospital in stable condition.

The second jockey, 37-year-old Ricardo Chiappe, was treated for a possible head injury and was transported to a hospital in serious, but stable condition.
