DOVER, Del. - Crews in Dover were busy at work Monday night examining what appeared to be a rather large sinkhole that had formed in a fenced off area of Schoolhouse Lane.
Dover Mayor Robin Christiansen said public works crew planned to try to fill in the hole, though more work and examination was expected on Tuesday. Christiansen said police would take necessary measures to block access to the street if needed. He added there were concerns the sinkhole could spread beneath the road.
A further assessment and more information would be available on Tuesday, Christiansen said.
