Dogfish Head Celebrates New Year and Anniversary

New Beer

MILTON, De-

Dogfish Head is celebrating the new year the best way the brewery knows how...with beer. Friday the company released two new beers to kick off all the fun it has planned for 2020 and its 25th anniversary.

Vibrant O'Ocean is a collaboration with Belgian brewery, Rodenbach.

Bewery

"They took some beer that had been aging for two years in oak and shipped it over to us and then we brewed a kettle sour over here and blended it with that. It's got elderberry, elderflower, lemon slices and this Belgian salt," said Dogfish Brew Master Mark Safarik.

Perfect Disguise is for the I.P.A. fans.

"It's a hybrid beer. A mashup of a double I.P.A., like a traditional American double I.P.A. and a German kolsch. So we fermented a little with a little German yeast," said Safarik.

If beer isn't your thing, Dogfish has plans to expand its spirits.

Pouring Beer

"Experimenting and expanding our cocktail program here at Dogfish because we make spirits as well, and spirits are just an off-shoot of all the great beers we've been making for 25 years," said Lars Ryan, the Experience Ambassador.

Both beers are available at any location on the Delaware coast. They will start to be shipped out to other states on Monday. Vibrant P'Ocean is available until May. The Perfect Disguise is out until April.
