Donut Boy Serves Police in Rehoboth

HONOLULU, HI.- An 11-year-old kid, known as "The Donut Boy," has completed his mission of traveling the country and giving free donuts to police officers.

Tyler Carach started the project over a year ago at a bakery in Florida. Tyler used his own money to buy donuts for a group of deputies.

Since then, he's taken the kind gesture across the country. Tyler made a stop in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware and Ocean City, Maryland back in June. His website says he's helped give away more than 51,000 donuts.

Tyler completed his journey Monday with his trip to Hawaii. He met with officers and talked about his work. Tyler said, ""I do this because to remind police officers that people still care."

Tyler says he's planning to expand the project by helping wounded officers and creating scholarships. If you would like to contribute, head to his website here.
