SELBYVILLE AND FRANKFORD, Del.-- The Delaware State Police Sussex County Drug Unit has charged fourteen people following a three-month long drug investigation in the Pollybranch area of Selbyville.
On Tuesday, DSP along with investigators from seven other task force in both Delaware and Maryland executed a warrant at a location in Selbyville and Frankford. Officers raided a home owned by Janie Handie on the 30,000 block of Washington Avenue in Selbyville. Upon arrival, police saw Jayquan Bland engage in a hand-to-hand drug transaction. Police say Bland threw a plastic bag containing 216 bags of heroin; a subsequent search of the residence led police to confiscate $2938.00 in suspected drug proceeds, seven bags of powder cocaine, eight suboxone strips, and 4.29 grams of Marijuana.

ea of Handie's residence, investigators found Delane Jacobs and his 9-year-old daughter inside a car. Police detected the smell of marijuana from his car and proceeded to conduct a search. Police report an additional .44 grams of powder cocaine, $612.00 in suspected drug proceeds and two suboxone strips. The child was taken into the care of the Division of Family Services.
In Frankford, on the 30,000 block of Frankford School Road, investigators searched the home of Jeremiah Handy and Ashley Drummond where detectives found 5,380 bags of Heroin (37.66 grams), 7 grams of marijuana, a loaded Taurus 9mm semi auto handgun and $22,979.00 in suspected drug proceeds. A 12-year-old child was present in the home at the time of the search and was turned over to the maternal grandmother. Police also seized $25,000 in assets from Handy & Drummond's bank account.
Jeremiah Handy, 32 of Selbyville, Ashley Drummond, 30 of Frankford, Janie C. Handy, 28 of Selbyville, Delane Jacobs, 30 of Selbyville, Phillip Michael Smith, 29 of Frankford, and David M. Mitchell Jr, 25 of Selbyville were all arrested and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on drug related charges. Jayquan Bland

, 17 of Laurel, and Tycere Bryant, 17 of Selbyville, were also arrested for drug dealing and have been committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center.
Police are still searching for Frederick M. Lynch, 23 of Georgetown, Deshawn C. Handy, 34 of Selbyville, Edward L. Collick, 28 of Greenwood, Cornell V. Gray, 33 of Greenwood, Timothy E. Sample, 28 of Millville, and Jhajuanye Q. Johnson, 23 of Selbyville. If anyone has any information on the location of these men, please contact Delaware Crime Stoppers.
