SALISBURY, Md.- A teenager was arrested after a physical altercation at the Regal Cinemas at the Centre at Salisbury on Friday night, officials said.

According to the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office, a deputy was asked to assist with a disorderly teenager who allegedly fought with another patron and knocked over a sign before yelling and arguing with management staff.

The 15-year-old girl was asked to leave, but she refused, the sheriff's office said.

Instead of complying, she became belligerent with and also assaulted the deputy with head butts, elbow strikes and bite attempts, the sheriff's office said.

According to officials, after her arrest, she continued to make "racially disparaging comments" towards the deputy and refused to identify herself.

She was released to a guardian at the sheriff's office pending adjudication by the Department of Juvenile Services, the sheriff's office said.
