Three Arrested for Car Chase, Drugs in Seaford

SEAFORD, Del.- Police in Seaford have arrested two young men and a 15-year-old after a car chase, foot pursuit, and the discovery of illegal drugs.

According to the Seaford Police Department, around 9:45 p.m. on Friday night, an officer was attempting to pull over a black Kia Sportage for a registration violation in the parking lot of the Days Inn Hotel. But the department says when the officer approached, the car fled southbound on Route 13, running other cars off the roadway.

Police say the chase led to Middleford Road, where the Kia struck several mailboxes and the three occupants fled. Police say with the assistance of a Delaware State Police K-9, 22-year-old Trevor Savage and 22-year-old Montez Lake from Seaford were recovered and arrested, along with the 15-year-old juvenile. 

According to the Seaford Police Department, the three had three grams of crack cocaine, 9.4 grams of powder cocaine, 148.7 grams of marijuana, five bags of heroin, 11.5 tablets of ecstasy, a stolen 9 mm Derringer handgun and $450 in suspected drug proceeds.

The three are facing multiple charges. Bail information is not available at this time.
