WILLARDS, Md.- Maryland State Police say a female victim is being transported to Shock Trauma in Baltimore after a single-vehicle crash in Wicomico County.
Police say the crash happened around 2:51 p.m. on Route 50 near Bent Pine Road.
Police have identified the driver as 46-year-old Ursula Evette Farlow of Salisbury.
According to police, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Route 50 when it veered off the left side of the roadway and hit a tree.
Police say Farlow was transported to Peninsula Regional Medical Center by Delaware State Police Medevac.
Once at PRMC, police say Farlow's injuries were listed as critical, and she was transported to Baltimore Shock Trauma by LifeNet Medevac.
Route 50 was closed for about two hours after the crash, but has since reopened.
State police say the Willards Fire Department and Maryland State Highway Administration assisted in the road closure and scene protection.
The crash is still under investigation, but police say alcohol is not believed to be a factor in the collision.
