DELMARVA- For a second Sunday in a row, Delmarva experienced a taste of winter weather, with snow falling across many parts of the peninsula, including much of Delaware and Maryland's Eastern Shore.

The heaviest bands of snow were to be seen across northern Delmarva. With this particular storm system, the farther south one traveled on the peninsula the more likely it would be to see rain instead of snow.

The Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland saw rain Sunday morning before it transitioned to snow. The snow was expected to taper off by late afternoon.

And in a repeat of last Sunday, several churches canceled their services for Sunday morning because of the winter weather.

Police and state highway officials ask drivers on Delmarva to use extra caution on the roads and to give snowplows extra space.
