SALISBURY, Md.- A new festival to celebrate urban arts and culture kicked off in downtown Salisbury last weekend.
Mizzle Fest 2019, the creation of Drew Davis, the owner of Deadstock Shoe store, and local rapper Charlie Makoa, was held Saturday along the Salisbury Riverwalk.
The free event featured hip hop, reggae and R&B performances, an educational and cultural awareness area, a kids play area, a skatepark, art displays and basketball tournaments. Some of the educational activities included a dance seminar, DJ seminar, social media seminar and "hip-hopology."
