CAMBRIDGE, MD - The Easton Police Department has announced the conviction and sentencing of a Cambridge man who was found guilty of enticement and coercion of a minor to engage in sexual activity.

According to police, a US District Judge on October 13 sentenced Richard Robinson, 74, to 10 years in federal prison followed by 24 years of supervised release. The decade-long sentence stems from a 2018 incident in which Robinson arranged a meeting for sexual activity with a 12-year-old boy at a park in Easton, MD. Robinson used his phone to record the abuse, according to police.

A July 2021 tip from Snapchat alerted authorities that Robinson had uploaded suspected child pornography to his Snapchat account. Police seized two phones at Robinson’s home and reportedly found images of the 12-year-old victim on them. Police say Robinson texted others describing the abuse of the boy, as well as shared the images via Snapchat.

During their investigation into Robinson, police were able to identify another suspect in communication with Robinson engaged in sharing child pornography and sexual abuse of a minor. Kaleb Scott, 24, formerly of Vancouver, Washington, was sentenced to 21 years in prison in February of this year as a result of the investigation.
