MILTON, Del. — A Sussex County nonprofit is bringing people together for a day focused on recovery, education and community support.
atTAcK addiction will hold its third annual Sober Fest from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at Hudson Fields in Milton.
The free event is designed to give people in recovery, their families and members of the community an opportunity to connect in a substance-free setting.
More than 30 organizations and vendors are expected to attend, offering information and resources related to recovery and substance use disorders.
The festival will also include activities for families, including bounce houses, arts and crafts, an ice cream truck and appearances by characters from “Bluey” and “Super Mario Bros.”
Attendees can also participate in a cornhole tournament sponsored by Oxford Houses of Delaware and receive free reiki services.
Live music will be featured throughout the afternoon. Nick Kashmanian is scheduled to perform from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by Girls Room from 1 to 3 p.m.
Dawn Hess-Fischer, president of atTAcK addiction and chairperson of this year's event, said the organization wants Sober Fest to help people see recovery as something that can be supported by an entire community.
The event also aims to address the stigma surrounding addiction and encourage people to talk openly about substance use and recovery.
According to atTAcK addiction, Delaware recorded 314 overdose deaths in 2025, a 41% decrease from the peak recorded in 2022. The organization said the need for treatment and recovery services remains significant despite the decline in deaths.
atTAcK addiction provides recovery-related resources throughout Delaware, including recovery housing scholarships, Narcan training, educational programs and community outreach.
Sober Fest will be held at Hudson Fields, 29763 Eagle Crest Road, Milton. Admission is free.
