Dover Air Force Base to Conduct Demolitions Training

DOVER, DE– Pay raises and a new blood processing facility are headed for the Dover Air Force Base (DAFB).

The 2024 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), signed by President Joe Biden, approved $30.5 million for the construction of a new Armed Services Whole Blood Processing Laboratory-East (ASWBPL-East) at DAFB. 

ASWBPL-East will process blood donations for U.S. Armed Forces personnel overseas, providing shipments to the U.S. Central Command, U.S. European Command and U.S. Africa Command.

The NDAA also includes a 5.2% pay raise for military service members and the Department of Defense civilian workforce.
