OCEAN CITY, MD - With the official end of the summer season yesterday, pets are now once again permitted on the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City.

The resort town has reopened the two famous seaside destinations to leashed pets during the offseason from October 1st to April 30th, allowing dogs and their owners to enjoy the sand together for seven months out of the year.

On their official website, Ocean City reminds owners and handlers that they must clean up after their pets and that they are responsible for removing any waste deposited on public or private property that they don’t own.

Ocean City’s Dog Playground remains open year-round, and both residents and visitors can apply for a pass here.
