Dover Gun and Drug Charges

DOVER, DE - The Dover Police Department says they have arrested a 22-year-old man on various weapons and drug charges following an investigation Wednesday.

Just after 5 p.m. on November 1st, police say they conducted a firearms investigation near South New Street and West Reed Street into Tyrese Bailey, 22. Authorities say they found a .22 Caliber Rifle hidden in Bailey’s jacket.

A further search of Bailey allegedly revealed just over 54 grams of marijuana, 154 bags of heroin, and 1.3 grams of crack cocaine, according to police. 

Bailey was taken to Sussex Correctional Institution on $152,200 cash bail and charged with the following:

-Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony

-Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition By a Person Prohibited (3x)

-Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance (2x)

-Possession of a Firearm with an Obliterated Serial Number

-Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon

-Possession of a Controlled Substance In a Tier 1 Quantity

-Possession of a Controlled Substance
