DOVER, DE.- A Dover man has been arrested on firearm charges following a traffic stop on Saturday.
Dover Police say they pulled Anthony Ciferni III, 35, over following several traffic violations near South State Street and Loockerman Street in Dover around noon. During the stop a police K9 alerted for narcotics inside the car.
Investigators say a search found a loaded sawed-off shotgun underneath a book bag along with drug paraphernalia.
Ciferni was taken to the Dover Police Department where he was processed and arraigned.
Ciferni was committed to SCI on $23,003 cash bail on the following charges:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Possession of a Destructive Weapon
- Various Traffic Charges
