Voters in the Woodbridge School District have approved a tax hike to raise nearly $1 million after voting down a very similar request less than three months ago.
With the 2022-23 school year fast approaching, the Woodbridge Board of Education has voted to increase the number of security staff in all of the district's schools, Superintendent of Schools Heath Chasanov announced Wednesday.
The proposed project would replace the current middle school with a new facility designed for middle grade students. Officials say the new school would be approximately 96,373 square feet with a capacity of 650 students. The district owns property adjacent to Woodbridge High School that would be used as the site of the new school.
