Crews respond to Wicomico River spill

The Salisbury Fire Department, Wicomico County Emergency Management Services and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources responded to a spill on the Wicomico River around 7:40 p.m. on March 4.

SALISBURY, MD– Crews contained a spill on the Wicomico River in a swift response March 4. 

The Salisbury Fire Department reported the response via Facebook around 7:40 p.m., with Wicomico County Emergency Management Division and the Maryland Department of Natural Resources.

Photos show the response in the area of Fitzwater Street. 

Officials did not specify the nature of the spill, but advised neighbors in the area to exercise increased caution.
