Jana Ruark joined WBOC as a News Producer in July 2021, shortly after graduating from the University of Delaware with a degree in Media Communication and a minor in Journalism. She produces our entirely local 6 p.m. newscast and has won three first-place awards from the Chesapeake Associated Press Broadcasters Association since joining Delmarva's News Leader.
SALISBURY, MD - A beloved bear who recently left the Salisbury Zoo has settled into her new home in Louisiana.
Chaska was moved to the Alexandria Zoo in early May. Salisbury Zoo officials say the 15-year-old Andean Bear's journey to the zoo went smoothly, and she is now thriving in her new environment.
With the bear habitat now empty, the Salisbury Zoo is set to begin building a new exhibit.
