Greenwood Police Arrest Teen in Connection to Rocks Thrown at Fire Engines

GREENWOOD, Del. - Police say a 17-year-old was arrested for the Nov. 13 incident.

On Nov. 13, the Ellendale and Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Companies were targeted by vandals while responding to a call. The Farmington and Seaford Volunteer Fire Companies also took damage to their engines. 

All of this happened as those fire companies, along with the Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company, were on their way to put out an active fire at New Process Fibre Company.

On Nov. 27, Greenwood Police announced that one juvenile, a 17-year-old, was taken into custody and charged with the following:

  • 2 Counts of Offensive Touching
  • 4 Counts of Criminal Mischief
  • 1 Count of Obstructing Fire-Fighting Operations
  • 1 Count of Breach of Release
  • 1 Count of Disorderly Conduct
The juvenile was reportedly processed and released to a parent, pending a future court date.
