SALISBURY, Md.- Heart disease is the no. 1 killer of Americans, but screening and understanding of lifestyle and risk factors can help to reduce that number. That’s why TidalHealth offers a free Heart Smart heart disease risk assessment for both men and women who are not currently under the care of a cardiologist. Appointments are required.
The comprehensive screenings include a heart disease risk assessment including a fasting lipid profile (total cholesterol, HDL, risk ratio and glucose); resting 12-lead EKG; body fat/body mass index; blood pressure testing; and pulse oximetry testing. Appointments are available:

- Feb. 18 at TidalHealth Primary Care in Seaford
- Feb. 25 at TidalHealth Primary Care in Millsboro
- Ongoing Thursdays at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury.
