BERLIN, Md.- Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan and First Lady Yumi Hogan on Thursday paid a trip to Berlin.

Atlantic General Hospital hosted the governor and his wife for a tour of the John H. ‘Jack’ Burbage, Jr. Regional Cancer Care Center. During the tour, one of the First Lady’s painting was unveiled. The painting is a part of the center's mission to utilize telehealth technology.

The newly 18,000-square-foot Burbage Cancer Care Center is located off of Rt. 113 and Old Ocean City Boulevard in Berlin. It provides one centrally-located facility for cancer and blood disorder patients seeking care and treatment.

In addition to previously available medical oncology and chemotherapy infusion services and integrative therapies, the new center includes radiation oncology; PET/CT imaging; laboratory services; community education and support facilities; and telemedicine technology that allow patients and their physicians to consult with other cancer care experts at the University of Maryland Greenebaum Cancer Center, preventing unnecessary travel for consultation and follow up care for patients who may require more

intensive cancer care services.
