GEORGETOWN, DE - The Georgetown Police Department has arrested a Maryland man on multiple charges including kidnapping in connection to an investigation spanning several Delaware jurisdictions.
Georgetown Police say the Seaford Police contacted them on May 3 at about 8 a.m. regarding an alleged kidnapping that had reportedly occurred earlier that morning in Georgetown. Seaford authorities said they had found an adult victim at a Seaford Motel 6 who said he was taken from Georgetown against his will. The victim, according to police, said he had escaped the suspect vehicle in Seaford.
The victim also alleged he was taken after he had prevented a potential assault on another person by the suspect.
Police say they were given a description of the suspect and the suspect vehicle. The ensuing investigation led police to identify Michael Still, of Hurlock, MD as the suspect. An arrest warrant was issued charging Still with first degree kidnapping, terroristic threatening, and offensive touching.
On May 6, Dover Police contacted Georgetown Police to alert them that they had Still in custody after a traffic stop. Still was transferred to Georgetown Police custody before being brought to Sussex Correctional Institution on $26,500 cash bail.
