SNOW HILL, Md. — Voters in the Town of Snow Hill went to the polls Tuesday, to elect a representative for the Central District Council seat.
According to the Snow Hill Board of Elections, incumbent Aaron Lumpkins received 60 votes, defeating challenger Madelyn Lampron, who received 8 votes. With 584 registered voters in the Central District, 68 voted in person, along with two absentee ballots and one provisional ballot submitted.
Per the town charter, the election results remain unofficial until May 28, when the Board of Elections will certify the outcome after counting any additional absentee ballots postmarked by May 6 and reviewing the provisional ballot.
The winner will be sworn in at the town’s next regular meeting on June 10, beginning a two-year term in office.
