ISLAMABAD (AP) — Pakistan announced that its security forces have carried out an intelligence-based ground operation along the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, followed by “calibrated strikes” against terrorist hideouts and safe havens in the border region, killing 29 militants. There was no immediate comment from Kabul.
