DOVER, Del.- A Laurel man has been arrested on gun charges after Dover police reported finding him with a handgun he was not allowed to possess.
According to police, Roderick Dixon, 35, was inside a vehicle when he was contacted by officers at approximately 9:45 p.m. Tuesday in the area of South New and West Reed streets.
Officers said they detected a strong odor of marijuana while contacting Dixon and found 1.3 grams of marijuana and a loaded 9mm handgun in his possession.
Dixon was taken into custody without incident and released on a $9,450 unsecured bond on the following charges:
-Carry Concealed Deadly Weapon
-Possession of Firearm by Person Prohibited (Drug Possession)
-Possession of Marijuana
-Drug Paraphernalia
