SEAFORD, DE.- A Seaford man has been arrested for allegedly robbing the same bank twice.

Seaford Police say they were called to the M&T Bank at Sussex Highway and Herring Run Road in Seaford around 9:30 a.m. on Thursday. A witness told police that the suspect was wearing camouflage clothes and walking behind the Seaford Village Shopping Center.

Authorities say a search of Jet Drive, near the shopping center, found clothes matching the robbery suspect.

Branden Abbott, 29, was identified as a suspect and arrested.

Investigators say he was also the suspect who committed a similar robbery on December 13th at the same bank.

Abbott was taken to the Seaford Police Department where he was charged with:

  • 2 counts of Robbery 1st
  • 2 counts of Wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony
  • 1 count of Tampering with evidence. 

Abbott was presented to Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the Department of Corrections on $111,000 cash bail.
