STOCKTON, Md. – The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration (SHA) yesterday announced plans to resurface MD-366 (Stockton Road) in Worcester County starting Nov. 9.
The project will “improve the ride quality” of a nearly four-mile stretch of MD-366 between US-13 Business (Ocean Highway) and Klej Grange Road, according to the press release.
SHA says contractor Allan Myers, Inc., of Dover, Delaware, will spearhead the project, expected to wrap up in early December, weather permitting.
Motorists should expect major delays and single-lane closures as crews work 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Arrow boards, cones and flaggers will guide traffic around the resurfacing project which will involve asphalt milling and line striping operations, according to the press release.
The SHA asks drivers to remain alert while in work zones and look for reduced speed limits.
Motorists can call #77 for roadside assistance.
