Search Warrant Leads to Drug and Weapon Charges in Bridgeville

BRIDGEVILLE, Del.- Delaware State Police have arrested two suspects after a search warrant led to the discovery of drugs and a weapon.

Police concluded a two-month drug investigation Wednesday in the matter of 37-year-old Howard Green IV of Bridgeville. Police executed a search and seizure warrant at Green's home on the unit block of Laverty Lane.

When police arrived, Green attempted to escape through a back window, according to DSP. Also in the home was lease holder Sandra Waples, 57, and two children age 7 and 8.

In Green's bedroom, police say they found about  2008 bags of heroin, a loaded handgun, a box of ammunition, over $24,000 in suspected drug money, and drug paraphernalia. Police discovered that Green is prohibited from possessing a firearm and/or ammunition. Green was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution on $92,500 cash only bond.

Police say in Waples bedroom was under two grams of marijuana. Waples was arraigned and released on her own recognizance.
