SNOW HILL, Md.- For the second year in a row, the Blessing of the Combines festival in Snow Hill has been canceled due to the pandemic.

Blessing of the Combines committee members said in a statement Thursday that due to the uncertainties of the pandemic restrictions and for the safety of the community, this year's Blessing of the Combines, which was scheduled for Aug. 7, is being postponed until Aug. 6, 2022. Last year's event was also canceled.

"We want everyone to know that this decision was extremely hard for the committee, but we want to ensure that everyone is safe and that this decision was not made lightly," the committee said. "The committee made this decision out of an abundance of caution and we hope that everyone will understand.  This event means a lot to the committee, the Town of Snow Hill, our farmers and their families, and our community and we hope that you all will join us in 2022! We also want to be able to fill the downtown streets with combines, activities, vendors, animals, and all of you again!"

The popular event honors the agricultural community while bringing thousands of festival goers into downtown Snow Hill for the parade of farm combines and tractors, food, live music, vendors and more.
