SALISBURY, Md.- A 20-year-old Salisbury man is behind bars on multiple drug and firearm charges following a police raid on his home Wednesday.
The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office said that over the course of last month, it Community Action Team conducted a drug and firearm possession investigation into a suspected criminal gang member, Chase Edward Morgan. Investigators said he was selling drugs from and storing firearms inside his home located in the 100 block of Heartwood Drive in Salisbury.
On Wednesday, July 1, the Sheriff's Office executed a search and seizure warrant on Morgan’s home that investigators said resulted in the recovery of a loaded stolen Kimber .45 caliber handgun. The handgun was reported stolen through West Virginia in 2018. A Radical Firearm .556 caliber rifle with a loaded 30 round magazine was also seized from the home, authorities said.
The Sheriff's Office said several other calibers of ammunition were located inside the home. Additionally, investigators said Acid/ LSD, cocaine, and oxycodone were seized.
Morgan is prohibited from possessing regulated firearms because of his age and previous court cases.
Morgan was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, maintaining a common nuisance to distribute narcotics, possession of Acid/ LSD, possession of oxycodone and possession of cocaine and ordered held without bond in the Wicomico County Detention Center.
